The Croatian players have decided not to face the media after nude photographs of them were published.

The age old debate of media intrusion into the lives of public personalities was once again brought to the fore as a furious Niko Kovac faced the media. The Croatian coach's anger was based on the fact that two photographers had hidden themselves from the view of naked Croatian players swimming in their team's pool and taken their pictures. Furthermore, they had published the images.

Kovac felt that the photographs had caused considerable damage to the players and their families. He also did not ask any of his players to face the media; he informed that media that his players will decide when they want to face the media. If they do not want to face the media until the end of their campaign, it seems that Kovac will not force them to.

This is what Kovac had to say according to the Daily Mail:

"I can't force them to be at your disposal after what you have done to them and their families.

How would you feel if someone took naked pictures of you? They are adamant that they won't speak to you lot anymore and I don't know whether the silence will end tomorrow or last until the end of our World Cup campaign.

I respect my players' opinion and I also know that you have done a very professional job so far but you blew it with this one. The whole world has seen the photos."
