Red Bull Arena will welcome World Cup bound Greece, in a friendly match against Bolivia on Friday. Watch live as Greece looks for their first goal in over 270 minutes of play.

Scoreless in their last three matches, Greece will be aiming to put an end to that on Friday night, when they take on Bolivia in Harrison, New Jersey.

Fernando Santos’ squad has yet to hit the back of the net in quite sometime, with their last two friendly matches ending in a scoreless draw against Portugal and Nigeria. They will now turn their attention to Bolivia, which according to FIFA rankings, are an inferior side.

The Portuguese manager is not all that concerned, but he does expect his side to put on a good performance against the South Americans.

“We have accumulated a little bit of fatigue, but generally we are adapting well to the climate,” he told reporters ahead of Friday’s preparation match. “ These tests are important to ensure we are prepared for the first match with Colombia.”

If the former European Champions are to finally get on the scoresheet, they will need Giorgos Samaras and Kostas Mitroglou to make things happen in the final third. Both have an eye for goal and loads of experience, which they will rely on heavily in Brazil.

Their opponents will not be preparing for a trip to Brazil, as they fell short in the qualification round.

Coming off a 2-0 defeat against Spain last week, Bolivia will feel more confident of getting a result on Friday night against Greece. To some extent, they held their own against Spain, with Romel Quinonez making a number of fantastic saves throughout the match.

Given how Greece’s offense has been non-existent, Quinonez may have less work to do in this friendly.

Bolivia proved that although these are friendly fixtures, they are not afraid to make fouls to stop the run of play. They did it against Spain, and if needed, they will likely do it against Greece. Therefore, the European side will have to find a way to break through and defeat their opponents. Failing to win could be a big blow to their confidence, heading into the tournament with Japan, Ivory Coast and Colombia waiting for them.
