With the Champions League draw having been done, two teams are now set for a hectic fixtures list. They are Real Madrid and Man United, with the latter set to face one of the deadliest sides in Europe in the round of 16.
The Reds Devils were paired against PSG in Monday's event, with many trolling the Premier League side's bad fortune. Los Blancos, on the other hand, got Ajax in the knockout stage.
While the Dutch outfit pales in comparison to the French giant, both Scolari's side and Mourinho's men will face a challenging run of games once the next round begins. This begins in February and will carry on into March when the second-leg will wrap up.
For Man United, it all starts off with a home clash with Mbappe and Co. This game is scheduled on 12 February, with the Premier League giant hosting Liverpool in the English top-flight in their following game.
After the tie against Klopp's side, the Red Devils will face Crystal Palace (A) and then Southampton (H) before things get tricky once more. In the space of 10 days, the Old Trafford side will face PSG (March 6), Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium (March 9), and then Man City at home (March 16).
As for Real Madrid, both their home and away encounters with Ajax will be preceded by tough games in La Liga. On February 10, three days before Los Blancos travel to the Johan Cruyff Arena, they will lock horns with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano.
After the first-leg tie, the Spanish heavyweight will face Girona and Levante before hosting Barcelona in El Clasico. The way things stand, that showdown with the Blaugrana will come two days before the return leg against the Eredivisie's most successful team.
One thing to take in consideration is if Mourinho and Solari will remain in charge by then. While the latter recently signed a new long-term deal, the Special One has been tipped to be sacked numerous times before. Only time will answer that question.
