The former Blues manager did not hold back with criticism of the attacking pair.

Former Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit has claimed that Eden Hazard and Willian 'don't trust' Alvaro Morata's striking abilities and have, as a result, opted against passing the ball to him.

All the three players were involved in Saturday's epic 2-2 draw with Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge but for the umpteenth time since joining from Real Madrid, Morata failed to justify his selection.

The 25-year-old striker, who has managed just three goals in 13 appearances across all competitions this season, was replaced by Olivier Giroud in the 79th minute after he made a huge mess of an opportunity to put his side two goals ahead following the resumption of the second-half.

While the Spanish forward is still struggling to find his feet in the English premiership, Ruud Gullit believes the forward's mishap is partly due to the fact that some of his teammates do not trust his abilities.

"[Morata's] team-mates don't come into any positions where they create anything for him," Gullit told beIN SPORTS.

"The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don't trust him.

"But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked 'where is Morata', he wasn't there. So they don't trust him."

Eden Hazard, on the other hand, has been integral in Maurizio Sarri's side enjoying an undefeated run in the league so far. The Belgian forward currently boasts 10 goals in 15 appearances across all competitions.
