The Real Madrid defender hailed the Englishman amid rumors linking the Tottenham star with a Bernabeu move.

Sergio Ramos looks to help Real Madrid both on and off the pitch, as he stoked the flames of the Harry Kane rumors by insisting he would excel in La Liga. The Blancos center-back made these claims ahead of his country's clash with England in the UEFA Nations League.

The Tottenham star has been heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu despite the north London club's unwillingness to do business. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo meant the Madrid giant lost a huge source of goals, with the Champions League holder hoping the Englishman will fill that void.

Florentino Perez is reportedly keen on returning for the Premier League star amid Real Madrid's recent goal drought. Lopetegui's side has gone four games without winning and scoring, heaping pressure on the new boss.

Ramos mirrored the club's belief that Kane would be a success at the Bernabeu when asked which England players would excel in Spain. The center-back said (as per Sky Sports): "You maybe concentrate on the physical in the Premier League, but there is also very important technical players.

"I'll start with Harry Kane. He's a physically fantastic striker, but also technically he surprises you.

"He might surprise a lot of people, but not me.

"He's great technically but there's also other technical players who are dangerous and I can assure you we've been studying them, watching them on videos."

Sergio will likely cross paths with the 25-year-old attacker on Monday in the UEFA Nations League, with the Fura Roja captain hoping to lead his nation to another memorable victory. The 2010 World Cup winners endured a disappointing campaign at Russia 2018 but have since enjoyed an upturn in fortunes under Luis Enrique.

Since crashing out of the summer tournament via penalties against Russia, Spain has gone on to win their last three games, scoring 12 goals along the way. Ramos and Co. beat the Three Lions in the reverse fixture at Wembley and will be keen on making it two wins out of two against Southgate's crew.
