LiveSoccerTV brings you all the highlights from Serie A matchday 7, including Juve's perfect run, Frosinone's milestone, and more.

Another week, another round of Serie A action is now in the books. Arguably, the two biggest games of matchday seven were the Derby della Capitale and the top of the table clash featuring Juventus and Napoli, and for calcio fans, neither game disappointed. Both matches were full of end to end action packed with goals at both ends, and as for the other games played, there were talking points and takeaways from those fixtures as well.

So, without further ado, let's get into it. Here are five key points we learned from matchday seven of the 2018/2019 Serie A season, which saw Juventus maintain their impressive start to the season, Parma continue to impress, and Frosinone finally achieve something they had been aiming to achieve since returning to Serie A for the second time in their history.

Juventus matches an impressive historical record

Juventus have been virtually unstoppable since winning the Scudetto in 2012 under Antonio Conte, and they only have gotten stronger season after season. This summer, they beefed up their already formidable squad with the addition of none other than Cristiano Ronaldo with the clear objective of winning the Champions League, and so far, it has been smooth sailing in Serie A. The Bianconeri are the only team with a perfect winning record, with six wins from their first six games and if one includes their win in the Champions League over Valencia, they came into their clash with Napoli having won their first seven games across all comps for the first time since the 1930/1931 season.

And although Cristiano Ronaldo was not on the score-sheet, he still grabbed a hat-trick...of assists. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was directly involved in all three of Juve's goals in La Vecchia Signora's 3-1 rout of Napoli, assisting Mario Mandzukic's brace as well as Leonardo Bonucci's effort as Massimiliano Allegri's men downed the Partenopei to open up a six point gap in the league standings.

Even better for Juventus, it means they have matched a very impressive historical record:

The curious case of the ex

In the other big match of the weekend, Roma took on Lazio, and arguably, it was a must-win fixture for the Giallorossi. Eusebio Di Francesco's men have been a side in flummox since the season started and have looked a far cry from the team who finished in an impressive third in Serie A and famously made it all the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, selling key players like Alisson and Radja Nainggolan has severely hampered the squad, as they proved to be no match against Real Madrid on matchday one of their Champions League campaign. Meanwhile, Lazio were on a kick after losing their first two games to Juventus and Napoli, as Simone Inzaghi's troops had won four in a row in the league and were looking to make it five wins in five games in order to keep working their way up the table.

Both teams came into the Rome Derby having won their respective midweek fixtures, with Roma crushing relegation candidates Frosinone and Lazio edging out Udinese. However, Roma, clearly inspired by their 4-0 rout of the Canarini, were able to get the better of their bitter cross-town rivals, and ironically, it was an ex-Lazio player to give Roma the lead - Serbian international Aleksandar Kolarov, who now writes his name in the history books:

Frosinone finally catch a break...

It was bound to happen at some point. For the first six matchdays, Frosinone could not score a goal, and in fact, they were the first team since Catania in the 1970/1971 season to achieve this dubious honor. But on matchday seven, the Canarini finally earned a breakthrough, when Ciano converted a penalty against Genoa this past Sunday. However, they are still 19th in the table and will need more than just scoring a goal here and there if they want to have any shot at avoiding the drop in their second ever top flight campaign in their history.

...although it turned out to be a mere consolation goal thanks to Piatek's impressive form

Ever heard of Krzysztof Piatek? Not many fans probably had before this season, but they certainly are becoming more familar with his name each passing round. His brace against Frosinone was not just enough to give the Grifone all three points, but keeps him firmly on top of the table and makes him an early contender for the Capocannoniere. Since arriving in Serie A, he has taken to life in the Italian top flight like a duck to water. Although no one is expecting him to win the coveted prize outright - especially with the presence of other well-known and more experienced stars plying their trades in Italy, Piatek certainly will hope to keep striking while the proverbial iron is hot and making a name for himself while helping Genoa improve their standings in the league table.

Piatek's brilliant form truly has helped the Grifone this season, as they have won four of their last six games - which has not happened since the 1932/1933 term. Not bad for a team who were battling relegation at this time last term!

Meanwhile, Gervinho continues to quietly inspire Parma

Parma and Gervinho truly appear to be a match made in heaven. Not much was expected of the player and the team since they arrived in Serie A. After all, the Crociati were relegated a couple of seasons back, and due to financial difficulties, ended up in Serie D. As for Gervinho, he had a solid spell at Roma, but then ended up over in China where an injury kept him from featuring in the 2017 AFCON tournament.

However, since making his debut for his club during a 2-1 loss to Juventus, during which he netted Parma's goal, the ex-Arsenal man has been in inspired form. His solo effort against Cagliari earned him a standing ovation from Parma's home support and generated quite a lot of buzz on social media, and he again was the protagonist to ensure the Crociati picked up all three points against fellow promoted side Empoli on Sunday.

And in doing so, he matched a personal milestone in the process:
