A match that has been surrounded with controversy will take place this Sunday, as Barcelona and Girona prepare to fight for three points on Matchday 5.

The meeting between Los Blaugranas and the Catalan minnows has been "elected" by La Liga execs to be played in Miami next year, but there are reasons to believe that plan will not be allowed to take place. Meanwhile, Sunday's clash could have a serious repercussion in these teams' fate, mainly due to Girona's form and the implications of losing ground in their battle to avoid relegation on the long run.

Barcelona enters this match on a six-game winning streak in all competitions. Their last La Liga outing saw them claim three points against Real Sociedad, and Ernesto Valverde's men will try to put up a similar display when they face their "neighbors".
