The Italian shot-stopper is yet to put pen to paper to his deal with Les Parisiens, but this could happen before the end of the week.

Gianluigi Buffon's illustrious career will continue for at least two years, as the Italian goalkeeper is on the verge of signing a deal with the current Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain.

Last week, a report suggested that Buffon was one of the main transfer targets for Les Parisiens, and the deal between both parties is about to be sealed, according to an article by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

"Buffon took off his gloves to get his hands on a multi-million deal. He just has to sign it and send it back to Paris. This deal will link him to PSG for two years, and he will earn around eight million euros ($9.3M) per season," the report states.

Buffon was released by Juventus just a couple of weeks ago, as the contract for the 40-year-old goalkeeper expired. While the world expected him to retire from professional football, PSG's project and dream to win the UEFA Champions League seduced him to play at least for two more years.
