The Brazilian was on the scoresheet again despite receiving more abuse from fans of his club.

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr has joked about his relationship with fans of his side by liking it to having a girlfriend. In Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter with Bordeaux, the Brazilian superstar was once again subjected to abuse but responded to his critics by scoring the game's only goal.

The former Barcelona stalwart got on the wrong of Les Parisian fans after viciously fighting for a move back to Camp Nou this summer. However, the 27-year-old forward eventually had to give up the dream after the Catalans and his side failed to reach mutual grounds in negotiations.

As a result, the former Santos prodigy has no option than to focus on helping Thomas Tuchel's side achieve more success this season. Indeed, his return has been rewarding as he has managed to score a few late goals that have proved to be vital for PSG's run-in so far.

Nevertheless, Neymar's form does not make him immune to abuse. On Saturday, the PSG ultras unfurled two banners with explicit language aimed at former Barcelona star. After securing the maximum points for the reigning champions, the Brazilian forward opined that love is not all enmity between him and the spectators.

"It is like a relationship with your girlfriend," he told reporters.

"When things aren't going well, you don't speak with her. With lots of love and cuddles everything will be back to normal. I will give my life on the pitch just for PSG."
