Reports linking him with a second Camp Nou spell have resurfaced lately.

Rumors of a return to Barcelona for Neymar aren't new, but those speculations resurfaced in the last few days amid reports that he is ready to leave PSG. A number of sources claimed that the Brazilian has grown disappointed with life at Parc des Princes and is thus ready to reunite with his former club.

However, it did not take too long for the attacker himself to come out and squash those rumors. The Selecao ace responded to the report on social media to put it to rest.

The 26-year-old took to Instagram for his reply. In an Instagram story, Neymar posted an image of one of these reports with the words "fake news" stamped on top. He did something similar on his official website as well.

This comes after Barcelona publicly refuted the belief that they are planning on re-signing the former Santos ace. Club vice-president Jordi Cardoner made this confirmation on Friday. He told Radio Barcelona (as per Marca):

"Nobody on the Barcelona board is planning for the possibility of getting Neymar back.

"Today, it's a question that cannot be answered because nobody has assessed it."It was he who decided to leave. It could have been that we didn't believe in him then and now want to bring him back, but that's not the case.

"Anyway, if the situation arose, we would have to discuss it with the board, but until now that hasn't been the case."

When asked about the possibility, Ernesto Valverde gave a more coy response, saying: "It's difficult, I don't know... We'll see."

While both the vice-president and manager confirmed that there is no interest at the moment, neither categorically ruled out a possible move for the PSG ace. He is currently performing well on the pitch and is well on his way to clinching a second consecutive Ligue 1 title with Les Parisiens. Nonetheless, these rumors will likely not go away.
