A reply to a transfer rumor account in Instagram might be the only hint fans needed to realize that Luka Modric's move to Inter Milan was never going to materialize.
The transfer rumor account "Futbol al Revés" published a story regarding Modric's future with Real Madrid, which involved the Croatian footballer contacting Inter Milan to offer his services. The "report" also stated that some of Modric's compatriots such as Perisic, Brozovic and Vrsaljko tried to twist his arm to join them in Italy, but the player's reply to that post leaves no doubt: Modric never intended to leave Real Madrid.
Modric replied to the Instagram account "This is the greatest nonsense in history" as soon as he read the Instagram post, as you can see in this pic below.
