Talk about Messi's return with the Argentine team was fueled by a social media post by AFA president Claudio Tapia.

Lionel Messi's international future has been a matter of concern since the end of Argentina's World Cup performance, but AFA president shared some news with the fans that will make La Albiceleste's followers quite happy.

Right after the Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca Juniors, AFA's main man Claudio Tapia held a conversation with Lionel Messi and Argentina's boss, Lionel Scaloni, to discuss "La Pulga's" return to the national team.

The three men got together at one of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium's boxes to discuss Messi's comeback, especially since Scaloni was appointed as permanent boss for Argentina until the end of the Copa América. No one inside the Argentine Football Association knew what to expect from a meeting of the sort, mainly because Messi has been sketchy about his future with the team.

After the meeting, Tapia posted a message on his Twitter feed, hinting that Argentina's all-time top scorer could be back with the team next year.

"Leaving Madrid after the Libertadores Superfinal and following several work meetings. Ending the year and prospecting what's next, we had a meeting with Scaloni and Leo Messi"
