Chelsea's summer signing Jorginho etched his name into the English Premier League's record books amid his team drawing stalemates against West Ham on Sunday. The former Napoli midfielder completed 180 passes in the afternoon's encounter and, as a result, became the first player in the league's history to do so.

Jorginho previously held the record as the Chelsea player to have completed the most passes in a single game after usurping Cesc Fabregas' landmark 144 passes against Newcastle back in August. The Brazilian midfielder completed a total of 158 passes in the Premier League game versus the Magpies as Chelsea run off with a 2-1 victory.
His exploits on Sunday afternoon, however, were not enough to aid Chelsea to maintain its 100 percent record and extend the winning run to six. The Blues currently sit in third place and trails league leaders Liverpool by two points with the pair set for a crunchy showdown next Sunday.
