The Portuguese ace will play his first European game on Wednesday since leaving Real Madrid for the Old Lady.

Wednesday will see Cristiano Ronaldo, a.k.a  Mr. Champions League, return to the tournament where he holds tons of records. However, he will be donning a new kit this time around.

After spending nine unforgettable years at Real Madrid, the Portuguese superstar will embark on the new European campaign with Juventus, the team he joined over the summer. And with this comes the opportunity to score in his favorite competition in his first game European game for the Bianconeri.

Allegri's men head to Valencia in their 2018/19 opener, a place where the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has done wonders. It is for this reason that he will likely find the back of the net on Wednesday.

First, it is his impressive goalscoring stats against Blanquinegros. Not only has he bagged 15 goals against the Spanish Primera Division side, a feat on its own, but he has achieved those numbers in only 18 games, tallying up to a ratio of 0.83 goals per game.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus, Valencia, UEFA Champions League

Then there is his recent form against Valencia. In his last nine encounters with the Spanish outfit, he has contributed to exactly nine goals, scoring seven and assisting another two.

Also, it should not be forgotten how his Champions League debut for his last club went. The Blancos icon bagged a brace, with both goals being scored from free-kicks, in his first Champions League game for the European kings. Ronaldo will do everything to outdo that achievement, and given his numbers, he might just succeed.
