The Belgian ace has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for quite some time, but the Blues seem to be preparing for life without him.

With Zidane's appointment as Real Madrid boss, the transfer talk surrounding Eden Hazard a man that has been linked with a move to Los Blancos seems to have everyone waiting for his next move.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference for Chelsea's UEFA Europa League clash, midfielder Emerson Palmieri shared an insight on Eden Hazard's situation with the club. The former Roma man believes that his Belgian teammate could be living his final days with the Blues, which sparks fear inside the team's locker room.

According to Palmieri, Hazard's absence would be a tough blow, since he believes the Belgian should be considered as one of the best players in the world.

"He shows everyday how important he is. Obviously, we have many players of quality in our team, but he is in another level and is one of the best in the world. I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave," Emerson said.

"I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay," the midfielder added.

Hazard has never hidden his desire to play under Zidane's command, but his efforts to join Real Madrid were brought to a halt last year due to Zidane's resignation as Real Madrid boss. Only time will tell if the Belgian can make his dream come true despite leaving a bunch of broken-hearted fans and teammates.
