A tempting offer is being tabled for a complete takeover from the Glazers.

Saudi Arabia crown prince Mohammad bin Salman is reportedly looking to tempt the Glazers into selling Manchester United. The fee quoted for the takeover is speculated to be in the region of £3.8billion.

In 2003, the Glazers family increased their shareholding and purchased the English club for a fee of £790 million. The American family has since been at the helm of affairs at the Old Trafford outfit who now ranks among the top three most valuable clubs in the world.

However, there has been recurrent agitation among the Manchester United fan base who have criticized the club's inability to make world-class signings.

The Red Devils' inacapability to make the right recruitments in recent years has resulted in a power shift as local rivals Man City has enjoyed a considerable amount of success since Sheikh Mansour took over as the club's owner. The Etihad outfit has won the Premier League title on three occasions since the Abu Dhabi royal family's takeover.

With the Manchester United fans awaiting the glory days to return Prince Mohammad bin Salman, whose family are worth in excess of £850bn, has reportedly stated his desire to use the resources available to help guide the club back to the top of European football.

Should the Glazers consider the idea of selling, they will be in line to cash in an astronomical amount of £2.2 billion as profit. According to English outlet Mirror, talks are believed to be underway as Manchester United chiefs have been spotted spending a growing amount of time in Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.
