Arsene Wenger's sabbatical will be over within a month, according to a report by The Times.
The former Arsenal boss has allegedly kept in touch with some top-caliber clubs in order to make a comeback to the sidelines. Four teams have shared their plans with Le Prof in order to get him out of retirement.
The three-time EPL winner has turned down offers from English clubs out of respect for the Gunners, the team that he led for over 22 years.
Wenger has been linked in the past with Bayern München and AC Milan. Those clubs still seem to be interested in his services, since the report claims that two "leading European clubs" are trying to land his signing. Both Niko Kovac and Gennaro Gattuso have faced serious pressure this season, and their lack of trophies by the end of the ongoing campaign could seal their fates, which would facilitate Wenger's comeback.
The third club named by The Times is none other than PSG, although Les Parisiens have allegedly offered Le Prof a chance to become the team's sporting director, a position owned by Antero Henrique at the moment. Given some controversies in which the Portuguese exec has been involved, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Wenger taking over, although he's expressed his desire to keep on coaching.
Last, but not least, Wenger has been linked with an unnamed National Team. With Wenger allegedly telling his inner circle that he misses the day-by-day pressure of coaching a club, it seems highly unlikely to see Le Prof coaching a team of the sort, mainly because most top-caliber national teams have already appointed their managers for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers and continental competitions.
