Due to the ongoing unrest in France, Ligue 1 has been repeatedly disrupted this season, with several teams, including reigning champions PSG having quite a few games in hand that need to be made up before the current campaign concludes. Meanwhile, due to bad weather, Saint-Etienne's match against Strasbourg was postponed for a later date.

In any case, the majority of fixtures went ahead as planned, and all eyes were arguably on Lyon's tie with PSG as Les Gones were unbeaten in their last six games in the league. Les Parisiens, meanwhile, were still unbeaten domestically, but suffered a shock loss to bottom-placed Guingamp in the cup and and had lost Neymar to injury, so things had started to look quite unsteady for the capital-placed juggernauts.

PSG were hoping to become the first team to complete a Ligue 1 campaign without losing a single game. Unfortunately that came to an abrupt end this Sunday, as Lyon beat them 2-1, and now have achieved what no team in Ligue 1 have been able to do all season. Although it really has made no impact on the title race, it still just could give others some hope that Les Parisiens aren't so infallible after all.

Les Rouges-et-Blancs finally have gotten a win after a long wait. The struggling club opted to bring back Leonardo Jardim after relieving former striker Thierry Henry of his duties and picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over Toulouse to move into 18th spot. Although they're not out of the drop zone, new signing Cesc Fabregas got himself on the score-sheet, along with fellow new acquisition Golovin, who made history in the process:
