On Saturday, should he be given the chance to start, Mesut will have to show everyone why he is the club's highest-paid player or risks falling further down the pecking order.

An early end to Arsenal's Champions League hopes?

Results as of late haven't favored Emery's side. They now sit six points behind the final Champions League spot and should Chelsea win, Sarri's men will enjoy a nine-point lead over the north London outfit. Given Arsenal's defensive frailties, that is a huge possibility. Should that occur, securing their return would almost be impossible.
