Chelsea come into this game having beaten Manchester City 2-0, and thus ended Pep Guardiola's men's reign at the top of the table. The Blues are also the first team to beat the Citizens in the Premier League this season and got some revenge on the reigning champions for their earlier Community Shield loss at the start of this season.

However, with Tottenham also winning at the weekend, Chelsea have slipped back down into fourth spot, and Sarri clearly will be looking for his team to pick up as many points between now and the restart of European action as possible. With that in mind, he will certainly rotate his squad for this upcoming fixture against Videoton, especially as the London giants have already sealed qualification with 15 points from their first 15 games.

The reverse fixture saw Chelsea grind out a narrow 1-0 win against a Videoton side who defended deep and threw all 10 men behind the ball at Stamford Bridge. So far, they have picked up six points and are third, behind BATE, who will face bottom-placed PAOK at the same time on Thursday evening. Given that the Eastern European side actually have to win this game to have any shot of making it to the next round, they will have to come out of their shell, and that certainly will present a much more open game.

This means that Sarri will feature a heavily rotated squad, and youngsters like Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi could get some game-time.
