Los Blaugranas are once again leading the title race thanks to their 2-0 win against Villarreal. Meanwhile, Real Madrid has made it to the top five.

Another week has gone by in La Liga, and once again, Barcelona tops the charts thanks to a cool and calm display against Villarreal.

Sevilla's run as La Liga leaders was cut short by their draw against Alavés, which saw them drop to second place in the Spanish top flight. Atlético is still third after not being able to beat Girona, which makes it now three draws in their last four outings for Simeone's men.

The good news came for Real Madrid fans, who watched Los Blancos beat Valencia last Saturday and kept their chances of winning the title alive. Solari's crew is five points away from the top spot with more than half La Liga games to be played, and given how competitive the tournament has turned out to be, it wouldn't be surprising to see them climb back up in the next few weeks.

Here's how the Spanish top flight looks like after 14 games.

Pichichi race

Christian Stuani scored once more during the weekend, broadening the gap between himself and Barcelona's gunmen. Even so, Iago Aspas is now the second-best striker in La Liga, having scored ten times in 14 games.

Bale finding it hard to fill in CR7's shoes

It's not only the amount of injuries he has dealt with, but Gareth Bale is now officially in his worst run ever as a La Liga footballer. Now, with a new injury looming over him, the chances of ending that drought seem sliim at the moment.
