Juventus are still unbeaten in Serie A, with the only time the Bianconeri dropped points being a surprise 1-1 draw against Genoa on matchday nine. Massimiliano Allegri's men come into this game having secured their spot in the round of 16 after narrowly beating Valencia 1-0. La Vecchia Signora have won four league games in a row since that frustrating stalemate versus the Grifone, and will be seeking to extend their lead over second-placed Napoli to a potential 11 points with a positive result over Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina ended up drawing their last game and set a rather unwanted record. For the first time since January 1990, the Viola have drawn five league matches in a row, and as a result, Stefano Pioli's side, who were hoping to be a serious contender for at least a European football spot, have slipped down to tenth in the league standings. It's not just drawing that has fans worried, it is rather the nature of the stalemates that obviously will be frustrating supporters of the Tuscan club. Obviously a draw against teams like Inter or Napoli are certainly acceptable, but along the way, Fiorentina have dropped points even against sides like Bologna, Cagliari, and relegation candidates Frosinone - all teams that a side of their caliber should be beating in order to be competitive for a European football spot.

Juventus, as noted before, sit on top of the table with 37 points. That's eight ahead of Napoli, so regardless of whatever happens at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, La Vecchia Signora will still be on top of the pile at the end of matchday 14.

Fiorentina, meanwhile are in 10th spot and sit behind a recently resurgent Atalanta on goal difference, but ahead of Torino - who they also drew recently - in a very congested middle of the table.
