With the International break just around the corner, this injury blow will only have an effect on two of Barcelona's games.

Barcelona will happily welcome back Lionel Messi this weekend, but coach Ernesto Valverde will not have a full squad to choose from, since one more player has picked up a muscular injury.

The player in question is Philippe Coutinho, who will have to rest for up to three weeks in order to recover from a muscular injury to his left leg.

The player will miss this weekend's game against Betis, but due to the international break, the footballer might make it back in time to play against Atlético Madrid on November 24.

Messi's ability to play on Sunday will determine which player will take Coutinho's place, with Malcom and Munir as options to fill in for the Brazilian footballer.

Dembelé misses Thursday's training session

Coach Ernesto Valverde had to deal with one more absence on Thursday, as Ousmane Dembelé was left out due to a gastric problem. Despite initial reports, the French footballer might still be available to play on Sunday against Betis.
