The Swedish striker pledged his loyalty to Manchester United thanks to the support of the team's fans, among other interesting quotes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a successful first season at Manchester United, lifting three trophies with the Red Devils. With that in mind and considering his age, the Swedish ace was left unimpressed by the quality he faced during his time in the Premier League.

Speaking in an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, Ibrahimovic looked back at his two years as a Red Devil, and while he admitted that he liked playing in England, the general quality he faced left him wanting a bit more.

"I liked the Premier League. I found it very motivating and very exciting. It gets a lot of attention, although I feel the quality is a bit ovrrrated - the individual quality, the technical part," Ibrahimovic said.

The Swedish footballer went on to say that he would have dominated the league if he had signed with a Premier League club at an earlier stage of his career.

"As I said when I was in England: 'you're lucky I didn't come here ten years ago, because if I did what I did at 35 years old, imagine it if I was 25,'"Zlatan added.

The player, who left Manchester United in March to join Los Angeles Galaxy, felt it appropriate to send a message to Red Devils' fans, admitting that they were the reason why he kept on going.

"The supporters are amazing. Wherever I went, I saw red shirts, which was fantastic. It was a very important moment in my career. I'm super proud and super happy that I went to United - it was the right club," Zlatan concluded.

The Swedish striker was not able to lead the Galaxy to the MLS playoffs this season. Even if he signed a two-year deal with the American club, he is being linked to AC Milan on a winter transfer.
