With only three games remaining, a number of teams could either be headed for the next round or home.

On Tuesday, the Champions League will resume. Matchday 4 is in store for lovers of this European competition, with fans eagerly awaiting a list of thrilling encounters this week.

The likes of Barcelona and PSG face tricky Italian oppositions in the form of Inter Milan and Napoli, respectively. Elsewhere, the in-form Borussia Dortmund will play Atletico Madrid a visit nearly two weeks after demolishing them 4-0 at the Signal Iduna Park.

With only three more games left to play before the round of 16, a number of teams can book their ticket to the knockout stage. Here are the permutations for the European giants in action on Tuesday.

Group A: Henry's Monaco fighting to stay alive

Dortmund, who leads with nine points out of a possible nine, is well on their way to the next round despite it not being official yet. Should they beat Atletico, not only would they maintain their perfect start, they would also win their group.

As for Atletico, they must beat Reus and Co. and hope the other game ends in a draw to progress. That other game involves Thierry Henry's Monaco and the French icon will be keen to avoid an early exit only a few games into his reign. To do that, he must guide the Ligue 1 side to a win against Club Brugge and pray Los Rojiblancos doesn't beat BVB.

Group B: Inter and Barcelona fighting it out

Currently, it's advantage to the Catalan giant as Valverde's men boast a perfect record in Europe. Mathematically, they are not through yet, but their ticket is as good as booked. Their concern is winning the group and that's something they can achieve if they win at San Siro.

As for Inter Milan, they need to beat Barcelona and hope the other game ends in a draw to progress. For both Tottenham and PSV, they must win and hope the Nerazzurri don't triumph to avoid a group-stage exit.

Group C: A tight three-way race

Liverpool, Napoli, and PSG are all in the race for a round of 16 berth. The Premier League giant leads with a one-point advantage over the Italians while the Ligue 1 champion sits in fourth, a point behind Ancelotti's men. Neither of those teams can secure qualification on Tuesday, but fourth-placed Red Star Belgrade could get eliminated if they lose and Napoli triumphs.

Group D: One team facing elimination

Just as is the case with Group C, no team can qualify on Tuesday. Porto holds the advantage with seven points to Schalke's five and Galatasaray's four, but that won't be enough. Lokomotiv Moskva, on the other hand, could be eliminated.

If they lose to Porto and there is a winner in Die Knappen's trip to Turkey, then it's goodbye for the Russians. Similarly, a draw against the Dragons and a win for Schalke would result in a similar fate.
