Four weeks had gone by since Barcelona's last La Liga win, but Los Blaugranas managed to get away with one crucial win when they beat Sevilla on Saturday. Unfortunately for Ernesto Valverde's team, there were good news and bad news after the conclusion of that game.
The good news were related to their rise to the top of La Liga's charts, topping Espanyol and Deportivo Alavés, who are now second with 17 points each. Sevilla dropped to fourth, while Atlético is now fifth. If you were wondering where Real Madrid sits at, they are ranked seventh right now, one of the lowest spots they've occupied in recent years.

The bad news, of course, had to do with Lionel Messi's injury. "La Pulga" has been ruled out of El Clásico, but the possibility of having him out for a month is real. That nasty fall put some shade on Barcelona's win last Saturday, despite the Argentine being involved in two of Los Blaugranas' four goals.
Real's whopping crisis in front of goal
Yes, the Spanish giants may have ended their goalscoring drought, but they surely need someone to step up and fill Cristiano Ronaldo's shoes. The team set a record for the highest amount of minutes without a goal, and these numbers will give you a hint on why Los Blancos haven't been able to win a single game in the past four weeks.

Pichichi race
Christian Stuani is yet to play this week, which will surely make him eager to increase his lead at the top. With Lionel Messi out for the next few weeks, let's see how many of these players can surpass the Argentine ace.
