The competition will be played by sixteen teams for the first time in history.

CONCACAF has revealed the dates and some of the venues for their flagship tournament, the CONCACAF Gold Cup. 

The tournament will suffer some changes, since it will be the first time in which it will be contested by sixteen teams. Mexico, the USMNT, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Honduras and Panama have already qualified for this competition, with ten spots left for teams to qualify via the CONCACAF Nations League.

CONCACAF decided to name Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and the U.S. a heads of each one of the groups, and the dates in which everyone of this squads will be playing was revealed today.

Group A - Mexico

  • June 15 - Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California.

  • June 19 - Broncos Stadium, Denver, Colorado.

  • June 23 - Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Group B - Costa Rica

  • June 16 - Non-U.S. stadium to be determined.

  • June 20 - Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas.

  • June 24 - Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey.

Group C - Honduras 

  • June 17 - Non-U.S. stadium to be determined.

  • June 21 - BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston, Texas.

  • June 25 - Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles, California.

Group D - United States

  • June 18 - Allianz Field, Saint Paul, Minnesota.

  • June 22 - FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio.

  • June 26 - Children's Mercy Park, Kansas City.

The tournament will then enter the knockout stage, with games going on from June 29 to July 7. The tournament's final will take place at Chicago's Soldier Field. The full list of fixtures will be revealed once the CONCACAF Nations League comes to an end.
