Another week, another round of Ligue 1 action is set to take place starting this Friday, and everyone is still trying to play catch-up to the runaway league leaders - much to no avail. After just seven rounds, PSG already have a eight points lead over the chasing pack thanks to having won their first seven games without much fuss. They will be hoping to extend that impressive run to a perfect eight as they travel to face Nice on Saturday, but Les Aiglons will hope to become the first side to steal points off the reigning champions.

PSG are still in cruise control as they prepare to face Nice on Saturday. Thomas Tuchel will be able to welcome Kylian Mbappe back after he served his multi-match ban, which now gives him another further attacking option up front. Still, they are back in European action midweek as they take on Serbian outfit Red Star Belgrade, which could see Tuchel rotate his squad after they lost on matchday one to Liverpool - especially as PSG will want to pick up all three points against the minnows. Could that play into Nice's hands?

What has gone wrong for Monaco? Last season's runners-up can't seem to catch a break and now Leonardo Jardim's men are actually sitting in the bottom three. With six points from their first seven games, only Nantes and Guingamp have done worse. Injuries, of course, haven't helped their cause either, as they have had to deal with absentees to several key players since the start of the season.
