The French star is quickly rising to become one of football's finest. But how does he compare to the Argentine and Portuguese goalscoring machines?

The rivalry to be named the best in the world seems to have a new contender, as rising star Kylian Mbappé is quickly being compared with some of the finest footballers of this generation.

The 19-year old ace has already surpassed Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of trophies with his National Team, as his win during this summer's World Cup is, without a doubt, something none of the individual trophies won by the Argentine and the Portuguese aces can match.

With that in mind, all we need to do is compare Mbappé's stats against those accomplished by CR7 and Messi at 19, and if it were by his numbers, we could surely say we are in the presence of greatness.

According to an investigation by Marca, the French star has already doubled Messi's goalscoring tally at 19 years of age, and he's also scored three times more goals than Cristiano did at the same age.

Speaking about UEFA Champions League goals, Kylian's tally is unmatched by what Messi or Cristiano accomplished back in the day, before dominating the competition's goalscoring charts.

Lastly, his skills with Les Bleus have earned him a spot among World Cup winners, and quite a few more goals against his "rivals" in this chart.

So, there you have it. Only time will tell if Kylian Mbappé can keep up with this goalscoring pace, or if he goes down in history as a player that had it all, but couldn't live up to the hype created around him.
