The Chilean goalkeeper will miss the entire 2018-19 season due to a tear in his Achilles tendon.

Claudio Bravo and Real Madrid may have been enemies, but that's not a reason for Los Blancos to hold any grudge against the goalkeeper.

The two-time Copa América winner with Chile is currently injured and has been ruled out for the entire season, which prompted a classy gesture from Real Madrid's honorary president, Emilio Butragueño, who sent a letter of support to Bravo on behalf of the club.

Bravo thanked the gesture and praised the club's intentions while sharing this letter on his Twitter feed.

"Thank you, Real Madrid, for such a kind gesture. Actions like this one are what football needs"

Here are the contents of the letter sent by Real Madrid's exec to Claudio Bravo.

"Dear Claudio: On behalf of everyone who works at Real Madrid, with special mention to our president, Florentino Pérez, we wish to send you our best wishes in your recovery process."

"We are deeply sorry to see you injured, since injuries are the worst part of football. We are sure that with your commitment and professionalism, you will soon bring joy to football fans around the world."

"We send you a big hug, with all our respect and admiration,

Emilio Butragueño".
