The Toffees have finally rounded up their squad with two explicit requests by their boss, Marco Silva.

The atypical end of the transfer window in England forced clubs to speed up their potential deals, and Everton made it count by adding two more Barcelona players to their squad.

Following Lucas Digne's signing earlier in the summer, the Toffees beat Manchester United and other clubs to the signing of Yerry Mina. The Colombian ace, who was the top scorer for the South American side in the FIFA World Cup, will join the blue and white side on a permanent deal, according to the information made public by Barcelona.

When fans believed that was it for Everton, the announcement of André Gomes' loan deal with the club came.

Everton spent $35M in Mina's signing, while André Gomes' deal will force the Toffees to pay Barcelona a $2.6M fee for the player's loan. Added to that, Everton will have to pay for the Portuguese midfielder's wage, rather than letting Barcelona do so.

Mina failed to impress in his first six months with Barcelona, where he was able to play six games at Camp Nou. Needless to say, he wasn't able to score a single official goal with the club. However, his performance in the World Cup made him a desireable footballer to have around, after scoring three goals in the same amount of games.

André Gomes's stint at Camp Nou was full of controversy. The Portuguese midfielder played 78 games in all comps for Los Blaugranas, scoring three goals in the process. Unfortunately for him, his performances didn't live up to the hype generated by his high-priced signing, and fans continuously booed him off the pitch.

His comments about being stressed out by being a Barcelona player marked the beginning of the end for him at Camp Nou, and this loan deal will come as a blessing in disguise for a player that didn't want to spend one more minute in Catalunya.
