The club's medical staff confirmed that this key attacker will be available for the trip to Anfield.

Bayern Munich has received great news ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool. The German giant feared that they would be without Kingsley Coman for the upcoming showdown but they have now revealed a positive update on the Frenchman.

The 22-year-old stole the show in die Roten's 3-2 win over Augsburg. The Bundesliga champion came back twice from behind to come away with all three points, with Coman grabbing a brace.

And that was not all, as the attack also assisted David Alaba for the winning goal. However, he handed everyone a scare after hurting his left ankle.

As a result, he limped off the pitch late on in the game. Speaking after the game, Niko Kovac revealed that it was a ligament issue and admitted there were concerns over his availability for Tuesday's trip to Anfield.

However, the German heavyweight confirmed that Coman will be available for the round of 16 showdown. After undergoing an MRI scan, the club announced via an official statement on Saturday that he has been cleared by the medical staff to feature in the Liverpool clash.

This will be a huge boost for the Bavarians, as they seek a favorable result in the first leg. The defending Bundesliga champion has not been enjoying the best of seasons under their new boss and will be in for a tough test in their pursuit of a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
