Match Preview

Three wins out of three for Manchester United has overshadowed the apparent crisis in the camp which dominated headlines in recent weeks. The Red Devils, after the humiliation at home to Tottenham Hotspur back in August, have not put a foot wrong. The side has conceded just once and has netted seven times across those three games.

Against Wolves, Jose Mourinho and his men will be hoping their attacking tenacity will be on display once again. All eyes will also be on the starting XI that will be named by the Portuguese manager with many expecting Anthony Martial to return to the fray.

The French starlet grabbed a goal in the midweek Champions League win over Young Boys and many are calling for him to come in for Alexis Sanchez who is yet to maintain a consistent form since joining from Arsenal. As the competition for places heats up with Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, and Antonio Valencia all available for selection, both Rashford and Nemanja Matic will be amiss in Saturday's game while serving respective suspensions.

The match will also see Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo reunite for the first time as opposing managers. The pair worked together at FC Porto between 2002 and 2004. In the press conference ahead of the clash, Jose acknowledged the work done at Wolves by his former goalkeeper and hinted at a daunting task ahead.

Just a point separates his team and that of his compatriot's in ninth position. With Wolves holding Manchester City at home and topping that with West Ham and Burnley, they could have a few tricks up their sleeve at the Theatre of Dreams.

The upcoming test will however not be an easy one considering Wolves' unconvincing form at Old Trafford. The team's most recent away victory against Manchester United came in the top flight of English football came way back in February 1980.

No win has since been recorded by them in the last eight league and cup games away to the Red Devils.
