West Bank League History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The West Bank Premier League is one of the two top championships organized by the Palestinian Football Federation (PFA), the other being the Gaza Strip Premier League. The competition was founded in 1944 but only turned professional in 2010/11. The league boasts a promotion/relegation system with the West Bank First League, with the bottom two teams dropping to the second division and the champions earning a ticket to the AFC Cup playoff round. The West Bank top-flight follows a double round-robin format, meaning each team plays every other club twice per season.
