World Sevens Football (W7F) women's football competition series format, featuring existing clubs playing professional seven-a-side football. The pitch is half the size of a regulation (11-a-side) pitch and goals that are slightly smaller. Games are played in two halves of fifteen minutes each, with rolling substitutions from an unlimited squad (with fourteen players selected for each match). In the case of games being tied, they go to extra time.
The tournament is invitational with mainstream top-level women's football teams applying to be included, featuring eight teams, planned to be a different selection of teams at each tournament. The teams are split into two groups of four, with the groups followed by semi-finals and the final. The competition is not regulated by FIFA, and as such neither it nor participating teams are required to abide by FIFA rules (e.g. international windows). World Sevens Football is streamed live on DAZN.
