The CONCACAF Women’s U17 Championship is a cup competition held for under-17 women’s national teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean region. This tournament, which has been held biennially, for the most part, began in 2008, with the USA beating Costa Rica to win the inaugural title. This competition acts as the region’s qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, with the top three teams from the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship – the champions, runners-up, and third-placed side – earning tickets to the FIFA event.
