The Scottish Challenge Cup, also known as the Scottish Professional Football League Challenge Cup or the Scottish League Challenge Cup, is a knockout cup competition that was founded in 1990. It is contested by mainly Scottish clubs as well as a handful of non-Scottish teams from the NIFL Premiership (Northern Ireland), the National League (England), League of Ireland (Republic of Ireland), and the Welsh Premier League (Wales). All games are played in one-legged format.
