TVA Sports 2 is a Canadian sports network owned by the Groupe TVA. Its first broadcast took place in 2013, right when its ownership group secured a deal to broadcast NHL games exclusively in Canada. Most of TVA Sports 2’s programs come via an agreement with Sportsnet, a Canadian sports network with English-language programming. It is available on both HD and SD, depending on the carrier and region.
TVA Sports 2 operates as a multiplex channel to TVA Sports, one of the main options for French-speaking sports fans in Canada. TVA Sports has usually broadcast original content, along with flagship shows aimed to hockey fans. This channel has also broadcast baseball games featuring Canadian teams, as well as soccer games, basketball matches and highlights shows.
This channel is available on a variety of satellite, cable and IPTV providers, which may be subject to change given the user’s region.
Recently, TVA Sports added a streaming service known as TVA Sports Live, which can be accessed via the network’s website or by using a mobile device.
