The PSG superstar finished the year by winning the 2018 prize after stealing the show at the 2018 World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe has wrapped up an unforgettable year by clinching another individual award. This time, the attacker was named French Footballer of the Year for 2018 by France Football.

The PSG superstar, who recently turned 20, hit new heights after helping his nation lift the World Cup. The youngster stole the show at Russia 2018, scoring four goals and was named the Young Player of the Tournament.

He wasn't Les Bleus' only key performer, though. Antoine Griezmann was another crucial figure at the summer tournament. Furthermore, Raphael Varane received rave reviews for keeping France's defense tight.

The Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid aces, alongside the former Monaco sensation, were also in the running for the Ballon d'Or. Griezmann finished in third for that award, one spot ahead of fourth-placed Mbappe, with Varane coming in at seventh.

However, Kylian beat out the competition to be named France's man of the year. The PSG star also won the domestic treble, winning Ligue 1, Coupe de la Ligue, and Coupe de France all in 2018. The 20-year-old is also doing extremely well in the current campaign, scoring 16 and assisting eight in the Champions League and French top-flight in 2018/19.

The speedy forward has inherited this award from last year's winner N'Golo Kante, the highly-loved midfielder who stopped Messi in the round of 16. Given Mbappe's promising career, expect him to win this accolade once again in the near future.
