This is a good example about how a well-intentioned post on social media can backfire if it isn't handled properly.
The passing of scientist Stephen Hawking sparked dozens of tributes around the world, and Neymar decided to join the bandwagon with a post via Twitter. Nevertheless, posting a picture of himself on a wheelchair while sort of mimicking Hawking's posture for 56 years seemed a bit out of place.
The post gathered many reactions, most of them negative, since most fans felt it was tasteless to compare the injury to his right foot to the illness that eventually took the scientist's life.
Have a look at Neymar's post (with its proper translation), followed by some reactions to it.
"'You need to have a positive attitude and make the best out of every situation you find yourself into - Stephen Hawking'"
Você tem que ter uma atitude positiva e tirar o melhor da situação na qual se encontra.
