The Portuguese boss will try to lure the Chilean away from Pep's hands with an impressive contract and involving other players in the deal.

Alexis Sánchez's transfer to Manchester City is now reportedly a matter of time, but it doesn't mean that Manchester United's boss was ready to lay down and let the Citizens get their hands on one of the most talented players out there without a fight.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, José Mourinho has reportedly offered a cash-plus-player move to Arsenal's bosses, which may have made the Gunners think about changing their mind on which Manchester team deserves the most to sign the player.

The report states that Mourinho is willing to spend $47M on the player, which would satisfy Arsenal's initial asking price of $40M. Added to that, Mourinho would include Armenian outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the transfer, which would make the deal even more appealing.

Sánchez's deal with Manchester City was set to be announced before the end of the week, with some of Pep's players such as Kevin De Bruyne admitting they were ready to welcome the Chilean. As the transfer window enters its second week, it seems that we will have to wait and see which Manchester side steals the player away from the Gunners.
