The Belgian midfielder didn't hold back when asked about how relevant the Chilean striker will be for the current EPL leaders.

If you needed confirmation from an official source regarding Alexis Sánchez's transfer to Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne stepped up to provide it.

Speaking after the League Cup clash against Bristol City, in which De Bruyne scored one goal for the Citizens, the Belgian midfielder revealed that he's looking forward to see what Alexis can do to help the team reach the English Premier League title and a potential successful run in the UEFA Champions League.

"He will bring a lot of things to the team. he's a very good player," De Bruyne said.

Perhaps noticing that his words could make more than one person nervous, the Belgian player added a few more thoughts to try and lower the impact of his first statement.

"Whenever a good player arrives, that's good for us. We'll see how the rest of the transfer window develops," De Bruyne added.

Reports from England suggest that Sánchez's deal could be announced before the weekend. The transfer will be completed as soon as Manchester City pay Arsenal £30M for the Chilean ace.
