The Brazilian ace also praised Gabriel Jesus' skills and foresaw great things for the young striker.

Even though the Spaniard had a lot to do with him leaving Barcelona, Ronaldinho holds no grudge against Pep Guardiola. In fact, the Brazilian predicted that Pep will enjoy the same kind of success he did with Los Blaugranas, where they won the treble during his first season at the helm.

Speaking in an event where he was named ambassador for the NGO known as Football for Peace, the 37-year old footballer named the reasons why Guardiola's approach to the game might benefit the Citizens on the long run.

"As a player, he was already playing with a very technical mind, so he was playing as a coach, thinking about everything like a coach. So he has a deep knowledge of football," 'Dinho stated.

“Wherever he goes, he understands much more than a normal coach. He understands the feeling on the field,” he added.

The playmaker went on to praise the Spaniard's coaching style, and hinted that he would've loved to play under his wing when he was promoted from Barcelona's second-tier team.

I had the opportunity to play with the biggest coach in my career, that was Frank Rijkaard. But Guardiola’s style of arranging the team, passing the ball and the beautiful game that everybody likes to watch, means it would be a pleasure for any player to have the honour to play for him," the player stated.

Later, Ronaldinho praised his compatriot Gabriel Jesus, who's had a massive impact with the Citizens since his arrival in January. Ronaldinho added that Jesus' skills will be crucial for Manchester City's success.

"I totally believe he will have a big part to play for City going forward. I love his style of playing. I truly believe that at City he will make a difference," the 2002 WC winner with Brazil concluded.
