Octoshape

Octoshape is a peer to peer streaming media server and client, which is also distributed as a plugin for Windows Media Player. It allows stream distribution without the requirements for much bandwidth. The quality is fairly good, for example Portugal's RTPi is offered at 400kb and 800kb streams.

Beta versions (Java based) are also available for Mac and Linux systems.
