Le Prof was praised all over the world for his endurance as The Gunners' boss, which made fans furious during the last four or five years.

Coaches aren't known around the world for admitting they did something wrong, and maybe it's because he is not linked right now to any club, but Arsene Wenger shared surprising insight on his years at Arsenal, stating that he should have left The Gunners before the team's demanded to see him sacked.

Speaking to French radio station RTL, Le Prof admitted that he could have shaved two years off from his stay with the red and white side, especially when things started to get uglier.

Maybe coaching the same club for over 22 years was wrong. I'm someone who likes to experience new things, I like changes. But I also like challenges. I feel like I became a prisoner of my own challenge, every year, a bit more," Wenger stated.

The main reason behind these words comes when Wenger analyzes all the things he sacrificed in order to succeed with the London-based club, especially those moments that will not return with his relatives.

"I'm sorry to have sacrificed everything I missed, because now I realize that I hurt a lot of people around me. I neglected a lot of people, my family and some other guys close to me. But in the end, if you are as obsessed with success as I was, you lose yourself under a pile of stuff," Wenger added.

Before the interview came to an end, Wenger revealed that he is still considering all options regarding his future, whether it is coaching or another role that's close to the game, but maybe not on the sidelines.

"I'm still making up my mind, the same question goes back and forth inside my head. Should I keep doing what I've been doing in the past, or should I share those experiences and my expertise? I still have two or three months to figure it out," Le Prof concluded.
