The Seleccao skipper has reached another career milestone.

History was made when Cristiano Ronaldo led the rest of the Seleccao brigade out of the tunnel in Sochi. The 33-year-old, after becoming the first European to score in nine consecutive major with the first of his three goals against Spain, has added another landmark to his records hub.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner tied with former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger as the only two Europeans to have played more games across World Cup and the European championships. The pair momentarilly has 38 games apiece under their belt.

Nevertheless, the record could be solely Cristiano Ronaldo's should Portugal advance to the quarter-finals at the expense of Uruguay.
