The Argentine striker returned to action following a car crash that forced him to miss a couple of games with the Citizens and with his national team.

Sergio Aguero returned to Etihad Stadium after a life-threatening accident and managed to make history, as he became the Citizens' all-time top scorer along with club legend Eric Brook.

"El Kun" scored the first goal of the evening for Manchester City, who now hold a five-point lead at the top of the EPL. Nicolás Otamendi and Leroy Sane scored for Pep's team during the second half to seal the deal.

Aguero hadn't been able to play in recent weeks after being involved in a car crash. The player was forced to miss the recent international break with Argentina and a couple of games with the Citizens, but after a swift recovery period, he managed to score his 177th goal in all comps for the current EPL leaders.

Added to that, Aguero is now the Premier League's top scorer this season, level at seven goals with Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku.
