An injury-ravaged Dortmund travel to face Tottenham, who have enjoyed success against die Schwarzgelben in recent seasons. LiveSoccerTV's match preview provides match facts, team news, and broadcast listings for Tottenham vs Dortmund at 15:00 EST (21:00 CET).

Current form: Tottenham vs Dortmund

Last season, Tottenham's run in the Champions League ended early at the hands of Juventus, and they will be hoping to avoid the same such fate when Bundesliga leaders Dortmund come to town. Spurs haven't reached the quarter-finals since the 2010/2011 season, but they did beat die Schwarzgelben both home and away during the group stage last term and will be looking to make it four wins in just two seasons by knocking the German side out of the Champions League this year.

Domestically, Tottenham sit in third spot after a strong run in the Premier League, and they come into this game having cruised to a fairly comfortable 3-1 win over Leicester City over the weekend. Although the hosts will be missing star man Harry Kane, as well as fellow key attacker Dele Alli, they will be somewhat relieved to know that their upcoming opponents also have some injury concerns themselves ahead of this clash.

As for Dortmund, they are having an excellent campaign thus far in the Bundesliga and look set to finally end Bayern's dominance on the title race. Lucien Favre's men currently have a five point lead over Bayern, albeit they have drawn their last two fixtures and will want to get back to winning ways to make sure that die Roten don't continue to creep up on them. But for now, their focus will be trying to find a way past a Tottenham side who beat them twice in the group stages last term. However, the visitors will have to make do without the services of key man Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus due to injury, which comes as a major blow.

Dortmund threw away a 3-0 lead against Hoffenheim last weekend to end up hanging on for a three-all draw, and Favre certainly will be quite concerned by how his team let their concentration slip when they clearly had that game all wrapped up. Will they be able to shake that bad result off, as without Kane and Alli, Tottenham are still a dangerous side. Notably, Heung-Min Son has netted a very impressive eight goals in just ten games against Dortmund - dating back to his days in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen - and will be looking to add to that growing total on Wednesday evening.

How they got here: Tottenham vs Dortmund

Tottenham narrowly qualified for the round of 16 after finishing second in their group behind tournament favorites Barcelona and just ahead of Serie A side Inter on goal difference. Arguably, it was one of the toughest quartets of this seasons' group stages, with three teams all realistically given a good chance of qualifying for the round of 16, and many felt it would be a close battle between Spurs and the Nerazzurri for the runners-up spot.

Meanwhile, Dortmund started off their group stage campaign on a very strong footing, and despite losing one game, still finished top of their quartet ahead of Atletico Madrid on goal difference.

Team news: Tottenham vs Dortmund
