The Italian shot-stopper trusts the Portuguese ace to bring the same level of success for Juve as he did when playing for Man United or Real Madrid.

Gianluigi Buffon and Cristiano Ronaldo have never been shy when praising each other, and with CR7 taking over as Juventus' leader, the former goalkeeper admitted he expects Portugal's captain to experience the same success he accomplished while playing for his previous teams.

Speaking after PSG's win against Caen in Ligue 1, where he made his debut with Les Parisiens in the French top flight, "Gigi" shared his views on how Cristiano will have an immediate impact in The Old Lady's future.

"I sincerely hope Cristiano can enjoy the same amount of success with Juve as he enjoyed recently. I know for sure that all the 'bad moments' are over, now that he's part of the team," Buffon stated.

Both footballers have left testament of their good relationship throughout the years, especially during last year's meeting between Real Madrid and Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

The veteran goalkeeper added that it shouldn't be a surprise to see the Old Lady named as one of the top contenders to win the UEFA Champions League title for a third time once CR7 joined them.

"Having Juve at the top of that list is obvious. Their execs know how to get things done, they have an amazing squad, excellent fans and they can be considered among the most successful teams in history. Even when they fall short from winning, they are very close to reaching the top," Buffon added.

The former bianconeri goalkeeper will try to lead PSG to their first UEFA Champions League title, following some disappointing eliminations in back-to-back seasons.
