Apparently, talks are already underway between the Parisians and the former Juve manager’s entourage.

The record-signings of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe last summer brought about huge expectations for Paris Saint-Germain. One of such objectives was to win the UEFA Champions League within the shortest possible time.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo and his Real Madrid brigade ensured that the dream was short-lived by knocking the French club out of the competition in the Round-of-16 stage. Although the club looks set to win the Ligue 1 title, its hierarchy is believed to be unhappy about their exploits of the team’s manager Unai Emery.

Numerous reports suggest that the Spanish manager will be shown the exit door come the end of the season and PSG full-back Thomas Meunier has recently hinted at the validity of the claim. According to The Guardian, Paris Saint-Germain is already in talks with the representatives of Chelsea’s Antonio Conte.

The approach is said to be informal but progress could be made to land the former Italy and Juventus manager who seems to have fallen out with the Chelsea hierarchy. At the moment, Conte is the frontrunner among the five managers shortlisted by the PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Jose Mourinho, Massimiliano Allegri, Diego Simeone, and Mauricio Pochettino are among those on the wanted list although none of them seem likely to leave their respective teams anytime soon.
